Frequently Asked Questions

Are reservations required/necessary?
Of course, we do take walk-ins, but you might have to wait. If you know you're coming, we recommend giving us a call.

Do you take reservations in the Downstairs Bar?
In general, no, we do not. For large groups we will take reservations, but there are restrictions as to what day and time. Call 530-666-6176 and ask to be connected to the Downstairs bar.

Where do we park?
There is street parking throughout the neighborhood. Watch out for the 30 min. and 2 hour parking limits. 1 block west (at the other end of Bust Street) there is a public parking lot, behind the Hotel Woodland.

Where do we enter the restaurant?
Even though our address is 428 ½ First St., the main entrance to the Downstairs Bar, the lobby and elevator to the 3rd floor restaurant, and the stairway to the 3rd floor is on the Bush Street side of the building. Enter through the courtyard. The Deli has an entrance on First St. as well as through the courtyard.

Are you handicapped accessible?
Yes. To get to the elevator enter through the courtyard on the Bush Street side of the building. Go through the 2nd door on your right. The wheelchair accessible restrooms are in the lobby of the 1st floor, right by the elevator. When making your reservation, please let us know if you have a wheelchair in your group, so we can reserve an appropriate table for you.

What is your dress code?
We have guests dressed anywhere from clean casual to all-dressed up. Jim M. likes to use the phrase "fine dining in an agricultural community".

Do you have a full bar?
We have two bars. There is a small bar in the 3rd floor restaurant. We also have a large cocktail and appetizer bar, Morrison's Downstairs, on the first floor.

What is your corkage fee?
Our corkage fee is $10.00 per bottle.

May we bring in our own cake for a special occasion?
Yes, just let us know when you make a reservation, and let the bakery or delivery person know the time and name of your reservation. There is a 50 cent per person cake- cutting fee.

May we have flowers delivered?
Yes, and again, let us know when you make your reservation, and let the florist know the time and name of your reservation.
